The shortest sheet in the set, because we collect almost nothing.
What this site collects
Facade Files is a static site. There is no sign-up form, no newsletter, no comment box and no reader account, so there is nothing you can type into this site for us to store. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies of our own. The web server that delivers the pages keeps standard technical logs — IP address, requested page, browser string, timestamp — which we use only to keep the site running and to see aggregate traffic, and which age out routinely.
If you email [email protected], we hold your message and address to answer you and to keep a record of corrections. We do not add correspondents to any list — none exists — and we do not share addresses with anyone.
Outbound links
Some outbound links are sponsored: they pass through a /go/ address on this site and land on a partner's site, and that partner may set its own cookies under its own policy, which we do not control. Every such partner is named on the disclosure page. Links to sources — journals, the NHS, professional bodies — are plain links; their sites likewise run under their own policies.
Health data, specifically
We never ask for it. No page here invites you to describe your teeth, upload a photo, or request a quote through us — deliberately, because dental details are sensitive data and a static information site has no business holding them. If you include health details in an email, we read them only to answer you and delete the thread on request. Requests about anything above: same address.
